One of the biggest problems I have with Poser 7 is the absolutely huge range of products you can purchase to use with it. I try to be choosy when it comes to purchases but sometimes I do go into a bit of a buying frenzy! Last week I went on a bit of a spree and bought the following products from one of my favourite vendors – Fabiana at Renderosity:
These are the last 3 products she has created and I snapped them up as soon as they came on the market – I just love them and here is an image I created using the above 3 products:
Thanks for looking and don’t forget to check out Fabiana’s store at Renderosity!

Runtime DNA are having a fantastic Classic Real Deal sale on at the moment – 10 June to 15 July 2009!
There are around 1000 classic pieces to choose from and they have even included 100 brand new real deals. This is fantastic value at only $2.50 per item. Now there are so many to choose from that I have included here my favourites for you to have a look at. I have broken them up to make it easier to check out.
Lights
Now lights are extremely important to get your renders looking truly professional – so here are a couple from the Real Deals that can get you started:
Ultimate Hard Lights (I am a big fan of this vendor’s Render Studio products – so this is a real gem for this price! Note you do NOT need Render Studio to use this product.)
Pure Render Lights 4.0 – Artistic Portraits Edition (Note this is for Poser 7 or higher)
Render Studio: Project Gels 1 (Note you need Render Studio to use this product – this is an awesome set and I purchased it myself)
Render Studio: Projector Gels 2 (Note you need Render Studio to use this product – this is an awesome set and I purchased it myself)
Lightworks – Point Noir (I purchased this set myself – really great value!)
Lightworks – Sunkissed (I purchased this set myself – really great value!)

Good poses are essential to make your renders look realistic and professional – so here are some for my favourite characters – and at this price you can afford to get several (like me):
Single Girl Poses for V4 (I really like this set and grabbed them while on sale)
Outdoor Girl for V4 (great poses – a little bit differernt)
Energy Poses for V4 (another great pose set)
Victoria Fantasy Poses I (this is great value – includes 13 full unique and 26 partial poses)
Victoria Fantasy Poses II (another great value set – includes 13 unique, 13 mirrored and 26 partial poses)
Victoria Fantasy Poses III (another great value set – includes12 poses, 12 mirrored poses, 12 partial up poses, 12 partial down poses)
Zodiac Poses V4 (these are interesting Zodiac themed fantasy poses – worth a look)
Outrageous! Poses for V4 (I got these myself – something a little bit different!)
Catalog Men Poses Volume I for M4 (This is a great starter pack of poses for Michael 4)
Go Go Miki (Miki used to be my favourite character before V4 arrived – so grabbed this product – I feel the urge to use Miki again in a render!)
Morphs
Natural Faces Volume I (this is a great starter pack of custom face morphs for both Victoria 4 and Michael 4 – worth a look)
Face It! 8 New Faces for V4 (these are nice realistic looking face morphs – worth a look)
Props and Clothing and Hair
Needful Things: Steam Iron and Board (I have this myself – it is just for fun – getting your characters to do the ironing!)

Rimless Glasses (I have these myself – totally awesome looking glasses!)
Just for Fun (I purchased this myself – for some reason I just really like the look of them)
The Originals for V4 (just a really nice casual shoe for V4)
Props Pack – Victorian Bed (good value bed prop)

Hi – trying something a little bit pinup this time – I recently bought Lada Hair from Renderosity by the amazing vendor Countess – so just had to use it. I am using another of my fave products – Dita from RuntimeDNA. The boots from Steampunk at Renderosity.
Base character is the lovely Victoria 4.2 from DAZ3D – she is free from here!
Created in Poser and rendered in Firefly.

The chair is the fabulous Orb Chair from Content Paradise – it is only $2.50 – a real bargain. Check it out here!
The background is a backdrop from Render Studio and the pose is an old pinup one – will update link when I find out where I got it from.
So I am thinking she is wondering where she put the rest of her clothes! LOL.
If you are into real tattoos – why not check out this site!

Okay I was trying to do something different and use a product I bought absolutely ages ago – Neo Station from DAZ3D. It is actually quite awesome – it is supposed to a modernistic train station set in the near future – but looks like a train station for today to me.
It was created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.

Lilah at Neo Station in Lola Dress
I also wanted to use another tattooed female character I bought a month or so ago and haven’t used yet – she is Lilah from Renderosity. She is pretty cool I think – you cannot really see the tattoos in this render but she has a great cat tattoo on the back – I like it because I have a black cat tattooed on my back too – so I obviously think it is cool!
I used my ever favourite Super Bob hair and a dress I have not used before – the Lola Dress from Lolabelle – great dress it is dynamic so you can really make it look realistic with any poses you do – although of course this pose is rather static – she is just standing there waiting for her train!
The boots I am not quite sure about – they look a little glossy to me – should have gone with a different texture.

ApoGraphix’ Rory for V4 at Renderosity

Hey there
Well I tried another full body pose last night and used my favourite character Victoria 4.2 and used the awesome Rory by Apographix with it. I kept it pretty simple – a pose, hair, outfit and a background and some lighting – no clutter – at the beginning I was mad keen to try all the purchases I made (and believe me I made heaps of purchases) and wanted to put as many things into my image as I possible could. Thank goodness I have gotten over that – simple works best for me. I am so envious of those artists that seem to fill up their images with so many things and it looks fantastic!
One thing I have learned over the last year or so is that it is great fun to buy heaps of STUFF to use within Poser 7 but you can get carried away with it all – believe me I know! After awhile I started to check out forums and there is a massive amount of FREE STUFF on the internet that artists out there give away – case in point is the awesome outfit Rory is wearing below – it comes from the amazing artist Aery Soul and you can get it here! Once you know the quality of the freebies from a particular artist – THEN I tend to go crazy and buy their stuff they have for sale – it kind of lets you try before you buy in a way.
Okay so here is my latest render – created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.

Dita – new character from RuntimeDNA

Hello
I recently bought a new character from RuntimeDNA – Dita. She is created by the wonderful Countess Halena – who does tattooed bad girls and toxic colours for RuntimeDNA, DAZ3D and also Renderosity. She puts different products on the different sites – so was glad I was checking out RuntimeDNA for a change. I am always on the hunt for great tattooed characters for Poser as I also run another site for tattoos - and have used Countess Halena’s tattooed girls for a few images on that website.
The base figure used is the fantastic Victoria 4.2 from DAZ 3D.
So here she is – hope you like her.
Created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.

Dita - a new character from Countess Halena from RuntimeDNA
I don’t often do full body poses – as I usually get them all wrong and they look a little silly and contrived – so kept this one really simple. But I really liked the character and her second skin outfit looks really nice I think – so it was just a matter of trying out a few poses and of course I tried quite a few lights, cameras and angles to finally get this one – I hope you like it.

Modern Muses: Bastienne from DAZ3D

Okay so this render is an extreme closeup – I really like the realism you can get from certain characters. This is the Modern Muses: Bastienne morph from DAZ3D. A totally awesome morph that can actually look quite unattractive in the wrong lighting – I should know it took me many poses and lighting changes to get something that looks realistic and not unattractive. Or at least I hope it is attractive. The base character is Victoria 4.2 from DAZ3D.
Created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.

The amazing Modern Muses: Bastienne from DAZ3D
I am not so good as yet with full body renders – so have been experimenting with the closeup portrait style – I really like the realism you can get from using different lighting and camera angles. There is not much to this render except for the character, a change in her facial expression and the always fantastically wonderful Super Bob Hair.

Okay – when I first got these characters I had to use them – so apart from my previous render I also created a cute mother’s day card using them. I hope you like it.
It was created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.

A Mother's Day cutesy image using Kali, Kelm and Kalinka
Well my mum really liked it so that is all that counts I guess. Here is a list of the products I used.
From Renderosity
I am afraid I cannot remember where I got the scenery from – if I remember I will update here. I do know it was from a fairy package – so will try and find out the details.
Thanks for looking.

This is my first blog post and my first render upload. I have used the most fantastic characters from Renderosity - Kali, Kelm and Kalinka. It was just a very simple render to test out the characters who I think are just the cutest characters I have seen around. These characters are from the brilliant vendor Nursoda. Some of the other fab characters from Nursoda are Loik and Koit – you should check them out at Nursoda’s store at Renderosity. You really cannot go wrong with these characters – they make any render cute as!
It was created in Poser 7 and rendered in Firefly.
